Vets mostly found benefits in PHRs, study finds
Even though recent surveys have found some doctors skeptical of the benefits of sharing health records with patients, a pilot program giving American veterans access to their health records was correlated with improvements in patient-provider communication and self-care.
The Department of Veterans Affairs My HealtheVet Pilot largely led to positive experiences for patients, according to a study by Susan Woods, MD, of the Portland VA Medical Center, and colleagues. read more
